The system has been designed to be easy and quick to use but can be tailored to meet your exact needs.
It has been designed to cost bids in multiple currencies and to sell in multiple currencies. Each cost item can be broken down into Material, Labour, Sub-contractor etc. And these individual elements may be further costed by assigning Import costs, Customs duties, Local transport costs etc. Formulas can be entered anywhere in the system enabling you to make any calculations you need to accurately estimate the bid.
Each cost can be assigned a cost category for import into a Project Financial System such as Red Ice IPAS. The customer’s estimated price bill can be exported into Red Ice IPAS or similar system if required for invoicing.
The Red Ice Estimator has been designed as an open system so that user developed Add-Ins can deliver any functionality required.
Currently, the system comes with import filters for Microsoft Excel, Winqs and Microsoft Project. Additional filters can be created using the Estimator’s API.
Data can be exported to Red Ice IPAS, Excel and Red Ice PCM. Data can be exported to other programs by using the Estimator’s API.
When reviewing an estimate, users can open quotes per cost item in the form of a document, an email or a URL.
You can export requests to subcontractors and import the best subcontractor quotes.
